I am pleased to announce the 2017 Access Anatomy Cadaver lab workshop date. This is a very popular annual event will take place on Sunday, August 13th.
This unique experience is a discovery the human body from the inside out and an opportunity to take your anatomy knowledge to the next level.
Here’s why I run this special anatomy lab experience…..
Pilates teachers have a unique understanding of the moving body. Access to anatomy labs with cadaveric specimens will consolidate and deepen your knowledge and appreciation of the human body. This intimate study of the human form beneath the skin is unforgettable and has an amazing impact on you movement teaching.
Here’s what to expect…..
In this workshop you will have access to the anatomy laboratories of the University of Newcastle. Physiotherapist and Pilates Educator, Lisa Anthony, a University anatomy tutor as well as Physiotherapist Andrew Wilson will guide you through prepared specimens.
We will take a detailed look at cadaveric specimens of the following:
the respiratory system
the abdominal region
the lower limb
the upper limb
the nervous system
as well as an intensive exploration of the thorax.
You know the body intimately from the outside in, come along and learn even more from the inside out.
